What's In This Blog

I created this blog for my journal. I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In this blog I keep many of the things I come across as a member of the church. I also share my experiences on the ACE Train and getting to work, my experiences in Manteca where we have lived for three years, and other things I think are noticeable.

Welcome to Omaha/Bellevue: Parks: Mandan Park

Mandan park is a park with views and hiking trails along the bluffs above the Missouri River.  There is even a hike from Mandan Park to the Mount Vernon Gardens.  Mandan Park has not escaped vandals.  There is a Lewis and Clark exhibit but two of the three panels are missing.   Mandan is worth visiting for the great view of the river.  It is off of south 13th street.

Two panels about the Missouri River vandalized.

Looking out over the Missouri River.  This picture shows the missing Lewis and Clark panels
I found the other side to Mandan Park, which has a playground and a science center for summer day camp.  It also has many covered picnic area.
