What's In This Blog

I created this blog for my journal. I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In this blog I keep many of the things I come across as a member of the church. I also share my experiences on the ACE Train and getting to work, my experiences in Manteca where we have lived for three years, and other things I think are noticeable.

Fontenelle Forest, Pond Hike

I visited Fontenelle Forest for a hike.  I drove to the Wetlands parking.  This is quite and adventure with lots of hills and washboarded gravel road.  I saw an barred owl fly into the branches of a tree on my way but couldn't get a picture.  However there was nice parking.  I started south on the boardwalk, and then took the pond hike which is relatively short.  This trail did go past a dry pond com0leted with a dock.  It merged onto the stream trail and this ended at the marsh trail.  I crossed over the railroad track at the end of the marsh trail and entered into the Mormon Hollow trail.  I went up about 100 yearsd before turning around.  I went back the way I came except a small board walk loop.
