This is a part of the Sermon on the Mount which I enjoy.  Jesus calls out hypocrites, and those who are pious to be seen of men.  And then he tells how we should pray to avoid doing things for the wrong reason.  Matthew 6:

 9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

 10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

 11 Give us this day our daily bread.

 12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

 13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Bible Video: Sermon on the Mount: Jesus Teaches a Higher Law

Jesus declares that he came not to destroy the law, but to fulfill the law.  He then explains what this means, giving a higher law.  He then explains that we should give the other cheek, go with him twain and treat others kindly, even our enemies.  Mathew 5: 17-48

Jesus Teaches the Beatitudes, and Teaches of Light on the Candlestick

Jesus begins the Sermon on the Mount with the beatitudes.  It is a beautiful beginning, and sets the tone for His teaching.  It is also good that this includes the lesson of putting your light on a candlstick.
