What's In This Blog

I created this blog for my journal. I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In this blog I keep many of the things I come across as a member of the church. I also share my experiences on the ACE Train and getting to work, my experiences in Manteca where we have lived for three years, and other things I think are noticeable.

Christmas Sing-a-Long Party: 2017

Just a couple pictures to show.  This ended up being a family affair for the most part, Banks, Wardle and Norman families.  A few people showed up towards the end to go over parts for the ward performance Christmas Eve.  We had the sing-a-long only a couple days before Christmas so Miranda and Caleb, Annie and Todd could join us.

Norman Christmas Party 2017

the Norman Christmas party was held the day after Christmas.  We had the usual, dinner and gift exchange game.  From the Norman side Natalie and Charlie were there, and Heather home from school  On our side, Caleb and Annie and Todd were home from school, as Miranda, and then our local children Charity and Anthony and girls, and Jeremy and Kayla and boys.  It made for a fun evening.  Dianna got lots of toys out for the kids.

Northland Ward Christmas Party 2017

our neighbor on the flute
Primary children sang beautifully.  They were definitely the highlight of the evening, and the primary put together a movie of the children, another highlight.  Grandkids cam and met Santa Clause.  They served ham and potatoes.  I sang during the interlude with the kids.  Lots of craft for the kids, and they love art and crafts.  I was mad at myself later for not making a movie of their singing.  Tony sand with them.  He is wearing a Santa hat (the Santa hat on the right.)

Our House Is the Place to Be Friday

Miranda designed the invitation to our sing-a-long party this year.  We scheduled it later in the year with hopes more family could; and in the case of Natalia, Ty and Ayden it has worked.  Grandpa Scoresby will be here as well.  So, we will have a good time.

Northland Ward Christmas Party: 2016

We had a great time at the ward Christmas party, where the theme was Whoville.  They had the Santa Grinch this year.  Camberly and Hayley were Ok with the green monster Grinch.  However Skylar and Bronnie didn't want anything to do with him as they hung back.  Skylar signed monster.  They kids also did crafts, and ate popcorn and watched the Grinch animated version.
Charity and I sang for the interim music.  We did Away in a Manger and Mary and Joseph's Lullabye.  Brother Hammertsrom also presented.  He sang an original and Mary Did You Know.
After dinner the kids presented the Christmas story, dressed as Whovillians.
Camberly joined Tony on stage, and they had Whoville hats to wear. They all got red cheeks as well.

Bronnie and Skylar wanted nothing to do with the Grinch.  Skylar signed monster and that is as far as he would venture.  Bother Garlets as the Grinch.
