Martin Luther King Memorials I Have Seen this Year

 I have seen a couple Martin Luther King Memorials this year.  The first in in Omaha at Lake and 24th.  This is a fairly busy intersection so most people likely miss it.  

The second I saw while we were touring Springfield, Illinois.  It is across the street from the capitol building, which puts it across the street from the Abraham Lincoln statue.

Steve Young Statue: Santa Clara

These two statues are across the street from Levi Stadium.  I do not know the story behind this.  Steve young, number 8 and left handed, is throwing to a child, number 50.  My daughter, Natalia caught a Steve Young pass.  The boys also kicked a soccer ball with him. 

San Jose Guadalupe Park Children's Statues

These are more statues along the Guadalupe Park Trail close to the arena.  I especially like the airplane statues because they are in line with the airport, and planes fly over this area frequently.

Find these statues in San Jose close to the Guadalupe River and the Arena Park.  I have been by her many times but never noticed these statues of children.

Vacation 2016: Rexburg, Idaho: Thomas E. Ricks Horticulture Gardens

 We went for a Sunday afternoon walk to the BYUI gardens.  It was cooler there in the shade with the fountains, and wasn't too bad of a walk from Caleb and Annie's.  The gardens were interesting, because there were lots of isolated locations where you could relax even though there were over 100 people in the gardens as a whole.  There were beautiful flowers, often placed randomly, as well as cool statuary mixed in.
