What's In This Blog

I created this blog for my journal. I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In this blog I keep many of the things I come across as a member of the church. I also share my experiences on the ACE Train and getting to work, my experiences in Manteca where we have lived for three years, and other things I think are noticeable.

Welcome to Omaha/Bellevue: Bellevue Libraries

Having a nice library is important to a community.  The Bellevue library is on Cornhusker, east of Fort Crook and across from the Bellevue University.  I have been very pleased with some aspects of the library.  I have found many nice books on local history.  I have found that so far every DVD movie I have been wanting to watch they have had and I was able to reserve.  The program of attending local attractions is very nice.  The have access to Fontanelle Forest where I have been.  They also have Lauritzen Garden, Gifford Farm, and Dunham Museum.  Each has their own restrictions but I think this will lead to lots of fun.  They also have scheduled activities, but I have not ventured.

I have been disappointed in their lack of books about the local indigenous people; or Native Americans in general.  I like to read short books about different tribes, b ut have not found that here.

The Bellevue University Library is close by.  I ventured there and found a bit better selection of Nativee American books.  However I am not sure if I want to spend the $50 for a community card.  I still want to check the Omaha History library.  I was pleased to notice no paid parking ag the university.
