Christmas Break Ice Skating

 I went with Charity's family ice skating at Heartwood.  I participated on the outside taking pictures.  Camberly is very confident on skates, as are Charity and Anthony.  The others not so much.  Riley stayed with Mom and Miranda.  They had more fun when the sliding instruments became available.

Charity Concert with Omaha Sings

 Charity had her concert this past Sunday.  She performs with Sing Omaha Woman's Chorus.  They sang a new song Magnificat,  I provide a short excerpt.  They sang in a large Southern Methodist church in Papillion. In addition to Charity's choir there was the master choir which is a mixed choir, and se veral youth choirs and a children's choir.  It made for a fun afternoon.

Durham History Museum: Christmas Tree and Santa Clause

 Went to museum with Charity's kids to see the tree and Santa Clause.  Santa Clause is in an auditorium underneath the museum.  We did some art and building projects, and visited the wedding dress and hockey exhibits.  These exhibits are not part of the permanent display so wanted to catch them while they are there.  Hockey was very fun.  They had a whole bunch of game like air hockey and hockey shooting cages.  All the kids took a turn, even Riley.  She was funny holding the hockey stick.  And of course putting the pucks in her mouth.

Visit to Kiewit Luminarium, Omaha

 This is a very large science museum on two floors.  It was a bit hard to get there as the map in the phone had us going through the consgtruction zone we couldn't get through.  We had to go around, 10th to Cuming/Abbot to River Front and then back to the museum.  But we got there.  They have so many science experiences it is hard to remember them all.  The one I liked the most was a sound across the hall experiment.  You sat in a chair with a bowl behind you and could hear someone across the room.  I also enjoyed a spinning disk on which you could put sticks or pool balls.

Charity's Concert and Girls' Birthdays

 I went to Charity's concert this week after watching Camberly play soccer for her school.  She sings in the Sing Omaha Women's Choir.  Both Cam and Hayley have had recent birthdays turning twelve and ten.  Charity's concert was very good.  I arrived barely on time as wanted to run home quickly to change my shirt.  They sang Vivaldi.  The concert was in a church in western Omaha.

Charity and Sheri Attend Women's Session and Tony Has His First Zit

This Saturday it fell to me to watch the kids while Sheri and charity went to conference.  I had Jesse, tony's friend from San Jose, and Camberly and Hayley Dawn.  It was hard keeping track of Hayley Dawn as she wanted to play outside.  We went out for a while and she chased a ball around the court, and Tony and Jesse kicked a ball, and Camberly helped Hayley Dawn.
We got a notice on our basketball hoop that they don't like it on the road, so I moved it to the driveway.  Later, Jesse and the girls were out back, and Jesse turned on the hose.  Camberly fell and got her bum wet.  She wanted a change of clothes, but I din't have any.  She sat with me on a towel and I tried to dry her.  She fell asleep, and I was stuck underneath her the rest of the night.  (Half hour until the women came home.  I tried to watch the session, but just got the songs.


Then last night Sheri and Tony were complaining about marks they have.  I felt they both looked like spider bites.  However Sheri Popped Tony's first zit ever tonight.  Tony is worried this means he is getting old.  Maybe it does.  I am still not sure what Sheri's is.

HAIRCUTS!!!!!

Charity cut the hair of the grand sons as well as Tony.  I thought they all turned out very nice.

Ayden Happy First Birthday

Ayden turns one this Thursday, so Charity hosted the first of three parties.  She and her folks flew back to Seattle Monday.  It was going great, until Ayden reached for the candle, and was more scared by our reaction to keep her safe than the actual candles.  She had a good cry, and eventually enjoyed her cupcake.  I don't think she burned herself.
