What's In This Blog

I created this blog for my journal. I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In this blog I keep many of the things I come across as a member of the church. I also share my experiences on the ACE Train and getting to work, my experiences in Manteca where we have lived for three years, and other things I think are noticeable.

Winter Quarters Temple and Pioneer Cemetery with Natalia

The Winter Quarters Temple is Beautiful and the pioneer cemetery where so many people are buried from the winter of 1846 is a very moving experience.

Moses Lake Temple

This is the country where I was born and lived the first six years of my life.  We went to stake conference in Moses Lake as we lived a half hour away in Othello.  The temple is right off the freeway.

Crossing the Columb ia river a half hour from Moses Lake on the I-90

Grand Junction Colorado Temple

The Grand Junction Temple is not yet open.  It is scheduled for an open house in September and dedication October 19.  It is convenient to the freeway.  However they are doing construction on the road to the tempe which will hopefully be done for the open house.  This is a beautiful temle.  It does not have and Angel Moroni but was a tall spire.

St. Louis Temple

When we lived in Carbondale this would have been our temple.  However it was not yet built and th nearest temple was Salt Lake 1400 miles away.  Of course this was in the 1960s,

I think the St. Louis temple is very beautiful with its blue glass.  It also has a distribution center next door where you can purchase temple clothing.

Sacramento Temple

Sacramento Temple is beautiful with its circular front and fountains.  Recent trip to California I visited this temple.  When Oakland was closed for remodeling this was our temple.  It is actually located of the I-50 in Rancho Cordova.

Portland Oregon Temple

We visited the Portland temple during Covid.  Consequently it was closed so we just got pictures outside the temple.  It was right off the freeway if you look at the exact right time.  It is very pretty with six steeples

Phoenix Temple

I have been to the Phoenix temple a couple times when the Las Vegas has been closed.  It is very beautiful and is close to a conservation park and a golf course.  It is actually in Glendale, just north of Phoenix.  It is the next closest temple to me here in Kingman at about three hours.  It has one steeple with Moroni and a nice fountain/pool in front.
