What's In This Blog

I created this blog for my journal. I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In this blog I keep many of the things I come across as a member of the church. I also share my experiences on the ACE Train and getting to work, my experiences in Manteca where we have lived for three years, and other things I think are noticeable.

Light the World Day 3 2017

It is lawful to do well on the Sabbath.  Being a commuter, often my Sabbath is very busy.  This is the day I home teach, and have family time.  I am going to take up on of the suggestions.  The first Sunday our local children visit.  This Sunday I am going to expand our efforts and involve those family members who are not close.  Sometimes they are forgotten or left out because of distance.

Dec 18: Jesus Honored the Sabbath and So Can You

What are you doing today to honor the Sabbath.  Mormon.org offers several suggestions.  These include attending worship service, turning off the cell phone, visiting family members, memorizing a scripture, and writing down ways you can become closer to God.  Her are the things I cam up with for myself
Ways I Can Become Closer to God:
Be more consistent with kneeling prayers
Be more consistent with scripture reading.
Be more consistent with evening family time for prayers and scripture.

Dec 4: Jesus Worshipped His Father and So Can You

I will be attending church today, and invite you to do the same.  Another aspect of this day is prayer; kneeling prayer.  I pray, but rarely do I kneel.  I can improve my worship.

Jesus Heals a Man on the Sabbath: A Bible Story for Children

This movie starts as children explaining the story of Jesus healing a man on the Sabbath, and ends as a very good lesson taught by children of how to keep the Sabbath day holy.
