Visit to the Beach While Mark Was Visiting

We made a day at the beach while Mark was here with family.  We all gathered there.  Mark and Lizzy had taken the family to see Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park.  They wanted to see some big trees while they were here.  We played in the sand, ran in the waves, held babies and did all those fun things you do at the beach--even some boogie board riding as the movie shows.

Family to the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk

While Mark was visiting we decided to visit the Beach Boardwalk on a night when all rides are $1 as well as cotton candy, drinks and hot dogs.  We started with the cave train, then the log ride (my favorite, peaceful and then a thrill at the end), the Pirate ride, (usually my favorite but the swing was too much for me, and the merry-go-round.  The kids did some other rides, and we had a good time.
