What's In This Blog

I created this blog for my journal. I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In this blog I keep many of the things I come across as a member of the church. I also share my experiences on the ACE Train and getting to work, my experiences in Manteca where we have lived for three years, and other things I think are noticeable.

Seattle Temple in Bellevue, WA

We vivited the Seattle temple ten years ago for Ayden's sealing day.  The grounds has relief society sculptures and lots of roses.  The temple is large with 13 sealing rooms and 110,000 square feet.  It is in Bellevue, WA.

Montpelier Idaho Temple

The Montpelier Idaho Temple nears completion and the open house is scheduled for September with the dedication in October.  Currently this pertains to the Star Valley Temple which is 48 miles away.  The main entrance is on the Washington Street side, away from the parking lot.

Cleveland Temple Open House

We visited the open house this last week.  We thought it started at 10 and got there about that time to be told it actually started at 12 and 10 on Saturdays.  However we waited and went through.  It was a very good experience.  There is great peace in the temple, even before it has been dedicated.  We also walked around a cou0le of times, and the kids explored the forest on the temple grounds.  Pictures not allowed in the temple but we took lots of the exterior.  We had a good time.  I made it a point to meet many missionaries, and had ties with any of them.  There were at least three from Shelley, Idaho.  Another from Herriman.  I love the missionaries and I love the temple.  Cleveland is a small temple, but it still has all the ordinances and all the priesthood will be there.

Winter Quarters Temple and Pioneer Cemetery with Natalia

The Winter Quarters Temple is Beautiful and the pioneer cemetery where so many people are buried from the winter of 1846 is a very moving experience.

Rendering Released for the Buenos Aires Downtown Temple

Came across this picture on Facebook of the newly relesed depiction of the Buenos Aires City Center Temple.  Que Maravilloso.  The temple will be built on Calle Reconquista between Avenida CĂ³rdoba and Viamonte.  This means it is only a couple blocks from Calle Florida and a major shopping district.

The Christus statue in the garden is unique.  I understand the garden will be for many to visit.

Tucson LDS Temple

This temple has a bit different design to reflect the Southwest.  The desert gardening reflects this as well.  It was Monday when we visited and there were men their working.
