What's In This Blog

I created this blog for my journal. I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In this blog I keep many of the things I come across as a member of the church. I also share my experiences on the ACE Train and getting to work, my experiences in Manteca where we have lived for three years, and other things I think are noticeable.

Papillion Restaurant Review: Red Robin

Red Robin was a pleasing stop the other day when we didn't want to cook.  Red Robin is in Shadow Lake Towne Center.  It is mostly a hamburger place, but we went for the onion ring tower mostly.  This was after being disappointed by the Outback onion blossom.  There's are good, and raly on dip for flavor rather than too much spice on the onions.  Tony had the Royal Red Robin burger--a hamburger with bacon and eggs on it.  He really enjoyed it.  I had the shrimp and chip appetizer.  I really enjoyed, especially the shrimp. The chips were homemade potato chips.  Some chips were too soft.  Miranda and Sheri shared a Red Robin burger.  Red Robin is also known for shakes but we didn't have shakes.

USAF Heartland of America Band at Sum Tur Amphitheater

I went to the concert at Sum Tur a couple days before the Fourth.  It was a bit hot, and then a bit buggy but the music was good and I enjoyed myself.  Sum Tur is an outdoor venue.  At first I sat on the grass, but moved down to a seat towards the end of the program.  The band had a total of nine musicians.  They had three brass musicians who did not play with them every song.  However the core band did with bass, guitar, keyboar and drum and two vocalists.

Papillion La Vista School District and Pedestrian Overpass

The school district office is a bit south of downtown Papillion.  The pedestrian overpass marks where it is and is between the school district office and Papillion Middle School.
