What's In This Blog

I created this blog for my journal. I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In this blog I keep many of the things I come across as a member of the church. I also share my experiences on the ACE Train and getting to work, my experiences in Manteca where we have lived for three years, and other things I think are noticeable.

Logan Utah, Angie's Mural

On the corner of 700 North Main Street in Logan is a mural on the side of Angie's.  This mural provides an overview of things in Logan and the area.

Old Main, USU Library? Logan Temple Logan Tabernacle, snow boarding (Beaver or Richmond), old car

Old LDS church which is now another denomination (Alpine Church) on Main, an old residence (There is a house like this in Hyrum) and Jim Bridger with an elk

Pretty cool.  Please correct me if I am wrong.  The USU library is this the new or the old, or not the library at all?

Hold On: Alex Sharpe presents One Heart & One Voice

This is another song from the concert at the Logan tabernacle featuring Alex Sharpe.  This is a song I know from when my kids sang in the Zion Choir in San Jose.  It is very nice.  Sharpe covers it very well, and the energy and diction with which she performs are very nice.

Disney Medley: Alex Sharpe presents One Heart & One Voice

This medley of Disney songs is fantastically presented.  This concert was at the Logan Tabernacle.  It is beautiful, and these songs are the best of the recent Disney films.

Abide With Me: Alex Sharpe Presents One Heart & One Voice

I really like this version of "Abide with Me" and there is a version of Alex Sharpe singing with the Mormon  Tabernacle Choir on You Tube.  In this version she sings with a Cache Valley choir and is part of the concert she did at Logan Tabernacle.  I especially like the way she adds a few lines from "The Lord is my Shepherd" at the end.

You Raise Me Up: Alex Sharpe present One Heart & One Voice

Man, I wish I had been at this concert!  Logan Tabernacle and Alex Sharpe from Celtic Women.  Wha a joy this is.  I wonder if there is a way to get a hold of the entire concert.

Cache Valley 2016

We went to Logan to visit my mother in the Sunshine Terrace Nursing Home.  We wanted to time our visit right so she wouldn't be at lunch, so so  took in a brief lunch time series show at the  tabernacle.  They were two guitarist, not my favorite but they were very talented.  We also made a quick trip to Hyrum, and then on to Porcupine Dam.  Paradise has really changed with new churches.  I visited the library in Hyrum, but the museum wan't open.

We saw a deer on the way to Porcupine, and a pheasant on the way back.  They were too fast for pictures.

Behind Cove
We went looking for the new ski resort behind Richmond, and ended up on back roads between Richmond and Cove.  We again saw a nice deer.
Del Monte where I use to work in  Franklin, Idaho.  We use to process beans and I worked on a conveyer.
