What's In This Blog

I created this blog for my journal. I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In this blog I keep many of the things I come across as a member of the church. I also share my experiences on the ACE Train and getting to work, my experiences in Manteca where we have lived for three years, and other things I think are noticeable.

Saying Goodbye Is a Pain

My kids are headed back to BYU Idaho.  Caleb, Annie and Miranda all go to school there, and I guess school starts next week, so they are all headed back.  They all stayed the summer with us.  Yesterday morning I was up early to bid goodbye to Annie, Caleb and Baby Todd.
Yesterday it was Annie and Caleb's turn.  They had there car stuffed, and barely had room for bodies.   Of course Todd went with them.  They hoped to be off by 4, so I went down.  They got up just after 4 and were off before 5.

Next day we were destined to do the same thing.  Sheri is taking Miranda to school, while I am staying home guarding the house and making it so Tony doesn't miss school.  They left just after 5 today.  They had to wake me up to come down and say goodbye.

Todd's Blessing Day: At the Banks

I must admit, I focused on getting pictures of our side of the family, and missed all the Banks and Hunters.  Sister Banks provided the after blessing meal, and man was it incredible.  We had burritos or chips with carnitas with a green sauce made from tomatillo which was incredible.  The highlight of the meal however was the raspberry sauce for the cheese cake.  It was excellent.  I had to have some on a brownie as well as I needed more.  (I was told Grandma Hunter made it.)  Caleb and Sheri helped in the kitchen.  Tony played ping pong and some other games, and hopefully made lots of friends.  I discovered that Todd is the first of a generation on the Hunter and Banks sides.  He is our eleventh grandchild.

Baby Todd Blessing Day

Caleb did a very god job with the blessing.  Todd I discovered is the first of a new generation on both sides of the Banks family, Banks and Hunter.  Pretty cool!

Grand Baby Weekend (elongated)

We took off on Thursday to Idaho to meet the new Grand baby, Todd James.  We traveled with two grand daughters, Camberly and Hayley (Charity's daughters).  We met Baby Todd.  Mark and Lizzie brought their four kids up Saturday, so we were able to spend some time with them and play in the snow.  We went to the Pizza Buffet in Rexburg.  Everyone received a text from Natalia showing baby Ayden taking her first steps.  She is scooting along quite well.  Upon our return Jeremy made us dinner, and there we spent time with the last three grand sons.  I am biased but these grand kids are pretty cute.  I got to hold Baby Asher, and spent time talking with Bronnie and Skylar.  Skylar said our prayer.  It was all good except for a nasty bladder infection that plagued Camberly.  This included a hospital visit and everything.
Thanks to Grandpa David who let us stay at his place in Iona.
In the snow, most of the snow had gone, and it rained some taking more away; but there was a patch where the had scraped it off the parking area that was plenty fun.

I got some cardboard from the dumpster on which they could slide
