What's In This Blog

I created this blog for my journal. I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In this blog I keep many of the things I come across as a member of the church. I also share my experiences on the ACE Train and getting to work, my experiences in Manteca where we have lived for three years, and other things I think are noticeable.

Idaho Falls with Jeremy, Kayla and the Boys

Heading to Utah for heather’s wedding we decided to stop by Idaho and see the boys.  Jeremy moved to Idaho after the family camp out as Kayla needs some on campus time at BYU Idaho.  We were very happy to see the boys and Kayla and Jeremy.  We went to the zoo in Idaho falls.  It was fun to be with the boys as they are getting so big, and are learning so many things about the world.  They told many stories about the animals.  We saw monkeys, alligator, birds, lions, tigers, zebra, camels, red koalas, and many more animals.  They actually have a penguin exhibit.  We also saw Shanna Merrill (not her married name) who happened to also be at the zoo with family.  We left time to visit the Funland Park next door to the zoo and the kids rode a couple rides.  We then enjoyed Panda and Asher sat on my lap.  Man can that boy eat the orange chicken.  I had to cut the large pieces for him.

Happy Birthday Jeremy and Boys

All the boys in Jeremy's family have October birthdays.  this includes Jeremy, Skylar, Bronston and Asher.  We had a big bask at their house to celebrate all four birthdays.  Asher is one, Bronnie three, and Skylar five.

Look Who had Another Turn in the Hospital

Asher came down with another cold, that went to his lungs, and gives him such a hard time to breath.  This is the day before he came home so he is a bit more chipper.  He seems to be doing better now.  He is Jeremy and Kayla's baby as is now almost five months old.

Baby Asher Was Darn SIck

January was the month of sickness for Baby Asher.  He came down with the RSV stuff and had a miserable time.  He ended up at USF pediatric Hospital in Oakland from Sunday to Friday right after Stake Conference, second week in January.  Here are some hospital pictures.  At San Joaquin they had to drill into his heal for an IV because the couldn't get a vein.  They got him better however and now he is his old happy self.  Jeremy and Kayla spent most of the week out there, or were back and forth every day.  Sheri and I visited Sunday, and Sheri went back another time.

Weekend Report: Dominated by Cancer and then Hospital

This has been a different weekend.  It started Friday with me staying home for Fred Zepeda's funeral.  He passed away from caner, exactly a year after my sister passed away.  Last year Sheri and I traveled to Boise for her funeral.  This year I stayed home for Fred's funeral.  Friday also Sheri returned home from her trip taking Miranda to school.  I convinced her to come home a day early because of impending storm.  Saturday I went to the movie "A Monster Calls" which was about cancer.
Saturday we also had stake conference adult session, with Anna coming over to watch Tony.  We saw heather briefly at the conference, but she was taking off after to go to Fremont with friends who were to give her a ride the next day to the airport.
Sunday made a year since my sister's funeral.  She died of esophageal cancer.  Sunday was a continuation of stake conference.  I sang in the choir like usual.  It was very fun.  Conference was very good.  Weatherford T. Clayton of the seventy presided.  Dianna came over after conference, as did Jeremy and family.
Jeremy came to our house with Baby Asher, and Sheri sent them to the hospital because he wasn't breathing very well.  Turns out he has RSV which has contributed to his having pneumonia.  Asher is about ten months old so right on the edge of the vulnerable age.  He is now getting oxygen and having his fluids monitored.
We went to visit, Oakland USF pediatric Hospital, and upon coming home, picked up the boys at Charity's.  My temporary crown fell out.  So Monday I was at the dentist instead of going to work.  Fortunately the new permanent crown was in, and I was able to complete this round of dental work, two root canals and one crown.

Announcing the Birth of Asher Tate Wardle

I think about an hour old.  Asher was born at 4:44 a.m.  He was born in Modesto at the Sutter Hospital.  Jeremy had dropped the boys off and gone to the hospital, but they came back about 10 as they were released.  The then went back about 2 a.m.  The boys spent the day with us.
These are pictures I took while holding Asher at about 17 hours old.

He is now home.  I got to hold him again at the Fall Social Friday.
