The Christmas Devotional of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was presented in the small theater at the Conference Center so the music provided by the Tabernacle Choir was recorded earlier.  Even so it was very nice and added to the devotional.  Speakers included President Henry B Eyring, President Jeffrey R. Holland, President Susan H. Porter (primary) and President Timothy L. Farnes (young men)

2016 First Presidency’s Christmas Devotional

This devotional is incredible.  It not only talks of Jesus' birth, but also his atonement and resurrection which made his birth such a miracle.  President Eyring is so funny talking about his children, and reenacting the story of Samuel the Lamanite.  We watched the presentation with our four missionaries serving in our ward.  We had grand babies over, so I hope they could hear OK.

We attended the Christmas devotional last night.  President Uchtdorf gave a very inspirational message talking about the origins of the carol: "Carol of the Bells."  This is one of Tony's favorites.  The whole presentation was excellent.

We went to the stake center to enjoy the Christmas Devotional this year.  This year it offered plenty of Tabernacle Choir music.  Also featured speaker focused on giving service a this time of year.  I love that type of story, and this devotional presented plenty of stories for thought.  Henry B. Eyring was the featured speaker.

The stake featured the bishoprics serving hot chocolate and cookies.  It was very nice.  I stayed after for choir rehearsal.  We are singing next week for an evening fireside, ward and stake choir.
