I was going to take the kids swimming, but the pool was not yet opened. AThere is a neat lake at Pring Lake Park. However I understand the pool is now open.
The Farnam Street Pier would extend from the end of Farnam Street. It is in the Heartland Park at the River Front. It is very artistic in its way. It looks sort of like whale ribs. The lower end of the pier could be used for outdoor meetings. The other end overlooks the Missouri River, and if you turn around you can see the fountain on the park lake.

Andersen Park is mostly a baseball park in Millard. It has six ball diamonds, a covered shelter and a playground. It is named for Harry Andersen, former mayor of Millard. Millard has since be annexed into Omaha. It is along the Papillion Creek.
Just up the creek is the Westchester Park which is primarily a softball park. It too has a playground. The West Papio Trail and the Papillion Creek go past the ball diamonds.
Timber Creek Park is close to the Millard Airport. It seems to follow a draw up the hill between the houses. It has tennis, a walking bridge, a picnic shelter and a playground. There is grassy area for play.
Millard Heights Park is at the en of the Millard airport, and also the end of Sky Park Drive. Also the end of the airplane driveway.

Hanscom Park was at one time on the southern border of Omaha. Omaha has since annexed South Omaha. Hanscome park is the oldest still existing park in Omaha. It has many amenities. There is indoor tennis in the southwest corner, a swimming pool more for little kids, a fishing pond with geese and ducks. There is a lodge for larger gathers, covered picnic areas and playground. Outdoor tennis. There is a new gazebo (the old one was burned by vandals) and a nice dog park. This park has its own green rooms where they start flowers for planting in the spring. There is a mural by the greenhouses.
