Tony's Last Pack Meeting

This last Saturday Tony's Pack meeting experience was very eventful.  This was his last Pack Meeting as Tony has now turned 11.  It was the Blue and Gold Banquet with pizza.  They had an Olympics theme.  Tony won some of the events.  Then during awards, Tony received his arrow-of- light.  The meeting concluded with Tony crossing the bridge.  Tony ran the Olympic torch past all the other dens.  My pictures aren't the greatest, especially of the zip-line crossing.  I thought I was making a movie, but my phone wasn't on the right setting. 

Tony's Last Pinewood Derby

Where Tony has turned eleven, this was his last pinewood derby.  His car was in the middle of the bunch.  His won some races, and lost others.  He had a good time, and showed great sportsmanship.  We took fruit kabobs that looked like semaphores, watermelon red, cantaloupe yellow and green grapes.  Tony and I built them.  Sheri was helping to decorate.  In fact I also helped set up tables after the play practice.  Someone had set up chairs for conference, so it was a bit harder with taking down first.

PINEWOOD DERBY 2017, Northland Ward

A few views of the Pinewood Derby Pack Meeting.  Tony came in fourth.  This includes Tony receiving his Bear.  Luke Baer crossed the bridge or zip line to Boy Scouts.  All the kids got to ride the zip line.

Pack Meeting: Caroling at St. Jude's Nursing Home

Sheri and I went with Tony to the nursing home to sing a few songs for Cub Scout Pack Meeting this Saturday.    Some of the kids did solos and played instruments.  It was fun.  Some of the patrons really appreciated it.  We had quite a large group.

Cub Scouts: Tony, Sheri and The Scouting For Food 2016

I was assigned to drive around and pick up food from groups who couldn't hold any more.  I was pretty busy.  And by the end, we had over six shopping carts of food to drop off.  Six plus carrying in several bags without carts.  We took it to the Sequoia Baptist Church on Union, and they had quite an operation to process the donations quickly.  There was also over $30 in cash donations.
