A  relatively lazy day, but it did include swimming at the Normans, and fireworks.  We swam with a frog at the Normans.  I had difficulty getting in for cold water.  They also did barbecue for us.  We were showered with sparklers by someone on a skate board as we waited in the Costco parking lot, until we told him enough.  I don't think it was a very good place.  Jeremy supplied some sparklers and other fireworks.  As always it was a mess getting out.

Happy Birthday to Tony

We had cake a couple days after Tony's birthday.  This was Sunday at the Normans.  Sheri made the cake.  It was chocolate with chocolate frosting.  Dianna had some ice cream.  We all sang as ill as we could.  Tony is now eleven.  Present in addition to the Normans, were the sister missionaries from Mark and Dianna's ward, the Halls, Jeremy and Kayla's boys.  Jeremy and Kayla who were at a meeting came by later.

Norman Christmas Party 2017

the Norman Christmas party was held the day after Christmas.  We had the usual, dinner and gift exchange game.  From the Norman side Natalie and Charlie were there, and Heather home from school  On our side, Caleb and Annie and Todd were home from school, as Miranda, and then our local children Charity and Anthony and girls, and Jeremy and Kayla and boys.  It made for a fun evening.  Dianna got lots of toys out for the kids.

Independence Day Eve

The Normans Invited us over for dinner.  Mark is using his new smoker and made chicken and brisket.  Both were excellent.  Joshua and Chelsea were there with their new puppy.  Tony and Miranda got to meet the puppy.

He is a big baby with knobby legs.  However he does like to swim and chase the stick.  Max too was home, and a whole bunch jealous.  

On the way home I attempted a couple photos of the crypt behind their house.  The crypt is on the hill behind the golf course, and has a fence around it.

While the Normans were gone for a week, Tony watched the chickens and fed the dog, and they swam in their pool.  Here are some pictures of Camberly and the baby chicks.

Christmas Dinner at the Normans 2015

For Christmas dinner we went to the Normans.  They had all of their children home for Christmas.  This included Nicole and her boyfriend Nick.  They live in the Bay area.  Joshua and Chelsea who live in Logan.  Natalie and Charlie who live in Provo.  Heather and Anna are both still at home.  We just had us, Annie and Grandpa Scoresby.  It was very fun.  A choice between ham or turkey.
After dinner we had a good conversation with Mark and Grandpa Scoresby.  We talked mostly about your, younger missionaries and some of the problems church members have such as pornography and now marijuana where it is legal in some states.  Many of the others played games after dinner.  The conversation eventually drifted to wedding plans and what would be the best thing to do.   However I understand that we have a joint meeting with the Banks to finalize the actual plans.  However there were many ideas presented.  Annie and Caleb only joined the conversation towards the end.  There is a lot of advice flowing their way.  Much discussion about how these events are becoming too elaborate, including Christmas where way to much carbohydrates are distributed.  However with regards to the wedding, Mark probably had the best advice.  "You should only do what you want to do."  There are no prerequisites.
