The Michael Thell Open Space Park is a trail through a forested area which you access from the parking lot of the Buena Vista High School. To the west is a bridge that goes over 60th and to the west the trail continues through many buildings for almost a mile. Lots of cottonwood trees line the trail. I saw a garter snake on the trail, and a butterfly but it didn't stop for a picture. The snake stopped. It was dead.
