Heather Went to India

I had heard Heather went to India.  I saw a couple girls from India that my niece was in India.  However I didn't know where or why, other than something to do with school.  My sister shared an article which explains what they where doing.  Even though the article doesn't mention Heather, this is the group they were with.  She must have been there in May.  Follow the link to read the article from the Newsroom for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Happy Wedding Day to Heather

After getting back we headed to heather’s wedding.  We arrived early so we could do some temple work.  I accompanied Tony for baptisms and served as witness for a time; and then did his confirmations.  That temple is very busy.  Parking was bad with so many people.  I guess the other Provo temple is closed for cleaning.  Tony could only do five names. 

Heather looked beautiful; and there was seeing Dianna and Mark and Sue and Weldon and Charlie.  Also there were many Normans.
Heather married Timothy Scott on August 3.  The ceremony was in the Provo City Temple.  It was crowded in the temple as the Provo Temple was closed for cleaning.  Tony did a few baptisms.  This temple is unique as there are two entrances, the basement where there is a parking garage, and ground level.  They have a nice gazebo where wedding parties can wait.  Weather was great, even hot, but you would know it when Heather left the temple it was raining, and it continued while we took pictures, then it stopped again.

The dinner was at the Wilkinson Center Sky Roof.  It was catered.

Virginia Reel: Manteca Stake Handcart Trek 2015

The Virginia Reel is not my favorite dance, because the lead couple is very busy, but everyone else mostly just stands an watches until their turn comes.  Of course everyone gets to be the lead couple if you dance long enough.  In this dance everyone showed lots of enthusiasm and energy with clapping and doing the twirl when it was your turn.  This is Friday night, after a hearty supper and good spirits.  This followed eight miles of hiking with handcarts.

I sat under a tree and watched as the young people took part in square dancing.  I really like
Oh Susana" and there was lots of enthusiasm.  As you watch my film, most of the groups caught on pretty well, but one group everyone seemed to have two left legs as after the hand swinging thingy it never worked out quite right.  The guys and girls were always running to get back together.  Maybe that is part of the fun.
