 Things I saw at the campus when I was there for the pow wow

Fort Omaha Intertribal Pow Wow

 Pow Wow was scheduled for the green at Fort Omaha but it was moved to a building south of Fort Omaha pertaining to Metropolitan Community College because of a chance of rain.  35th annual Pow Wow.  

There were colorful costumes and entrancing drumming and singing.

Hoff Family Art and Culture Center in Council Bluffs

 The Hoff Family Art and Culture Center is o block west of Main Street.  I didn't venture insie.

Bone-ified Jazz Concert Gene Leahy Mall

 I was surprised that the Bone-ified Jazz Band was in fact the Joey G. Trio with an added trombone player.  Fun jazz music all the same.  I went with Charity and Riley.  We also saw a camel for hump day.

Hump Day Camel at Gene Leahy Park

 We visited the Jazz Concert and the Camel at Gene Leahy Mall this last Wednesday for hump day.  I think this is the first time I had ever touched a camel.  It nuzzled my hand which tickled and also pushed me in the back when we took a picture.

Omaha Restaurant Review: Breakfast Club in Aksarben Village

This is a breakfast restaurant, and is pretty busy.  I went there for biscuits and gravy.  They would have been good except the biscuits were much thicker than what I am use to and I couldn't eat them.  Ther bacon, eggs and gravy were fine.  
 

Beals Elementary School on Central in Omaha

 Driving on Central I noticed a very interesting school, with its on bridge walkway over Central for the students.  I really liked the architecture with the old combined with the new.

Westlawn-Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery: Spanish War Memorial

 The Westlawn- Hillcrest Cemetery is a combination of Westlawn and Hillcrest cemeteries.  Hillcrest does not allow upright memorials.  However it does have the singing tower which is the highest point of the cemetery.  The Westlawn has a large mausoleum.  It aso has a Spanish American War Memoriual
