What's In This Blog

I created this blog for my journal. I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In this blog I keep many of the things I come across as a member of the church. I also share my experiences on the ACE Train and getting to work, my experiences in Manteca where we have lived for three years, and other things I think are noticeable.

Mount Rainier and Puget Sound: Views from the Merrill home.

Taken from Port Orchard, Olalia

These pictures are from the porch of the Merrill's new home.  You can see it from both the living room and the master bedroom.  Totally cool!  We ran into the Merrills in Omaha at the temple and spent a few minutes together bother they continued their trip.  We went to the Jackson Street Grill for lunch and then to the Pioneer Heritage monuments.  A quick forage to the candy store.  The Merrills are friends of Ty and Natalia.

Camping with Natalia and Ayden at Dosewallips State Park, Washington

We spent three nights camping.  Our campsite had something to be desired as it seems we were on top of a septic system.  We asked about changing but were told there were no other sites available.  However the camp itself seemed pretty fun.

Olympic Game Farm

A fantastic fun time interacting with animals. This is an adrenaline rush.  We chose to go through the car tour a couple of times it was so fun.  The elk and the buffalo actually put their big heads right inside the car looking for the bread you are feeding them.  Buffalo heads are big, as are elk with their antlers.  This was great fun.  The bears, wolves and tigers were more laid back with no direct interaction.  Nothing like buffalo slobber on your hands and the car.  The Olympic Game Farm is in Sequim, Washington.

Point No Point LIght House and Drift Wood Creations

As part of our beach day with Natalia we visited the Point No Point Light House.  We passed through Hansville and took a picture of their mural before heading to the light house.  We first saw the radio tower and thinking this was the light house were disappointed.  However the light house was beyond this.  Many people were fishing or walking.  We discovered a garden to drift wood furniture and animals.  Very interesting.  The old light is still in place, with a new LED light in front.
