What's In This Blog

I created this blog for my journal. I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In this blog I keep many of the things I come across as a member of the church. I also share my experiences on the ACE Train and getting to work, my experiences in Manteca where we have lived for three years, and other things I think are noticeable.

Offutt Brass Band at Sum Tur Amphitheater

Offutt Brass Band was very good at the Wednesday morning 10 a.m. concert.  They are six musicians playing patriotic and other songs.  They have a French horn, tuba, trombone two trumpets and drum.  They played Battle Hymn of the Republic, a Taylor Swift medley, "Here Comes the Sun" a Beatles song, The five military branch songs, and "God Bless America."  They are very precise in their music and I greatly enjoyed the concert.

Papillion Area Community Theater: Hunchback of Notre Dame

I had a fun night at the Sum Tur Amphitheater watching Hunchback of Notre Dame.  The acting and singing was all very good.  My only critcism is that it was a bit too loud at times.  Set pieces moved throughout the show in a coordinated way making it so there was no need for scene stops.  This is my first introduction to Papillion Area Community Theater, Papillion Area Community Choir, Papillion Area orchestra.  The choir was on stage beneath or on the balcony.  The on stage actors were good, including the ensemble.  Joey Westerdale did a very good job as Quasimodo.  He changed on stage adding a hunchback as he performed.  It was well done.  All the songs from the Disney movie were there.
