Gateway Arch National Park, St. Louis

 We watched a movie of how the arch was built.  Big triangular slices each place one at a time.  They are big enough for people to walk inside at the top, and are much larger at the bottom.  When they got to the last piece, they had to pull each side apart because they were drooping in, and get it in.  It was quite the task.  

The old government building is part of the National Park and houses a museum.

The arch is higher than rainbow bridge or the Statue of Liberty

Gateway Arch: To the Top

 We rode the tram to the top of the arch.  It was fun, but we had to walk the last little bit.  There were windows on each side for looking down on the earth below.
