What's In This Blog

I created this blog for my journal. I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In this blog I keep many of the things I come across as a member of the church. I also share my experiences on the ACE Train and getting to work, my experiences in Manteca where we have lived for three years, and other things I think are noticeable.

Sheri's Out Side Work

Sheri added annual flowers, petunias and marigolds, to the front of the house and entry way.  She also planted a blue potato bush to the side of the house and an hibiscus bush in front.

Sheri Has Been Busy In Tony's Room

This projet has been completed mostly for over a month.  Sheri added the stool this week after she repainted it black to go with the decor.  I think she got the idea for the built-in desks and shelves from pinterest.  It has a pipe and wood theme.  The wall is painted black behind.

tony's solar system school project on the stool, he got 100 percent.

Progression of My Burn: From Africa to Australia

Shortly after I burned my back, Miranda and Tony said it looked like Africa.  Now it is looking like Australia.  I went to the wound clinic at Valley Medical Center and they removed skin which wasn't healthy, and left the healthy stuff.  Now my back is a nice pinkish red color which is suppose to be healthy.  There are some lighter spots where the bad skin was too stubborn to pull off.  The process was not too painful, however it did leave my back very tender and more sensitive to itches and pain.  Here are some pictures over time.  It is getting better, and the pain is tolerable, and the itching so far hasn't driven me crazy.

After first burned, at Doctor's Hospital

Saturday after treatment
Sunday (today) after Sheri washed it.
Doesn't it look like Australia now.  I think so.  There is some good healthy healing going on, and most importantly; no infection.  We have gone from silvadene to neosporin as an antibiotic but now also have a special yellow bandage we put on too encourage good skin growth.

Family Thanksgiving Turkey Bowl 2015

Sheri almost makes the play; but not quite.  Miranda recorded this.  One of the funniest family videos I have seen in a long time.

Mama's Surprise

Mom had talked about wrangling Caleb into making her a rustic table, now that he was home from his mission.  I thought it was just a dream kind of thing, but when we returned from our trip to Utah and Natalie's wedding, people were gathered for a surprise early Christmas gift for Sheri.  While we were gone everyone had made the table for her.  This even involved those who aren't in Utah via Skype or Face Time and giving advise etc.  I imagine Jeremy took the lead on the construction.  Everyone did lots of sanding.  I know Miranda and Charity and Camberly did much of the painting.  I could tell Camberly had taken part as she had black paint on her clothes.  Charity also had black paint on her.  I understand Anthony picked up the wood.
So we now have a rustic table; and our waiting for the sealer to fully dry so we can use it.  In the meantime, the old table is in the living room; although first in the family room for spaghetti dinner.
New table, it looks cool and is very sturdy.  It passed the plate test Natalia suggested--the plates lie flat.  Sheri and Bronnie.

Spaghetti dinner Miranda made with Anthony, Camberly Charity and Miranda.  Annie came over for dinner and well as Jeremy and kids were still here.  Old table but redone chairs.
