What's In This Blog

I created this blog for my journal. I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In this blog I keep many of the things I come across as a member of the church. I also share my experiences on the ACE Train and getting to work, my experiences in Manteca where we have lived for three years, and other things I think are noticeable.

Aksarben Village

Aksarben has some neat stores including a movie theater, Cold Stone, a dog park and a people park, an art museum, and a dance area.

I went to visit the Samuel Bak, Holocaust survivor, museum, but I couldn't get in.  This was in the lobby.

Refugee Empowerment Center/ Center for Immigrant and Refuge Advancement Murals

The building at 4223 Center in Omaha has murals on all four sides.  David Manzanares is credited as the artist.  The front of the building is less mural and more mosaic butterflies.

Stinson Park at Aksarben

Stinson Park is unique as it has a gazebo and hosts many concerts in the summer.  Also in one corner there is a memorial to the old race track in the area and the horse, Omaha.
