The happenings of the Billy and Sheri Wardle family
In addition to flower pictures from St. Cecelia this weekend I took a few of the cathedral. There was lots of stained glass, and statues, and art and architecture. The cathedral is very large. Consecrated in 1959 after about 50 years of construction. It is 255 feet long, 158 feet wide and 222 feet wide.

I have had the occassion to visit the Holland Performing Arts Center each of the last two concert. Camberly took me the first Saturday for a masterworks concert. I returned again last night for a live concert to the movie, "How to Train Your Dragon" with Charity's family. I guess Anthony can get cheaper tickets being a teacher. The balance was a bit for the Dragon show, but then they were highlighting the orchestration. This made it pretty fun, especially the music at intermission and at the end of the show. Pretty fun.

Not only do we have the BOB bridge outside the visitor center, but a nice garden area with plants and signs.
Off of the 75 where it crosses the 80, (south of the 80) is a large interesting mural on the granary. I am not sure what they mean but they are in a Latino neighborhood.
Returning home from the Kanesville Visitor Center I noticed the Council Bluffs Visitor Center so decided to stop. I loaded up on lots of pamphlets about places to see in Council Bluffs. It is on the corner of S Exprressway St. and 23rd Ave., not far from the freeway entrance to the 80. It is called Unleash Council Bluffs, Iowa--Convention and Visitors Bureau.
Gene Leahy Mall is in the downtown Omaha area, 13th and 11th and between Farnam and Highway 6. It has several amenities, the most significant being a band stand and grassy area for summer concerts. It also has a very modern playground. It is described as a pedestrian mall with lagoon and gardens. Camberly and I crossed it a couple of times going from where he parked to the Hlland Center for an orchestra concert.
