What's In This Blog

I created this blog for my journal. I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In this blog I keep many of the things I come across as a member of the church. I also share my experiences on the ACE Train and getting to work, my experiences in Manteca where we have lived for three years, and other things I think are noticeable.

Light The World Day 2 2017, Water

The theme for Day 2 comes from "I was thirst and ye gave me drink."  I have a couple movies I have found about this theme.  I am reminded of the section from "Meet the Mormons" on establishing a well in Nepal.  I found what I think is a good place to donate for water resources.  This program is called Charity: Water.  It was founded by Scott Harrison.  He tells his story and that of Charity Water.  I encourage you to check it out; and maybe donate as well.  The numbers are different.  The Charity:Water puts the number of over 600 million people, while the LDS video over a billion.  The bottom line is too many people do not have access to clean water.  They saw unclean water causes more deaths than all the gun violence combined, including wars.
