What's In This Blog

I created this blog for my journal. I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In this blog I keep many of the things I come across as a member of the church. I also share my experiences on the ACE Train and getting to work, my experiences in Manteca where we have lived for three years, and other things I think are noticeable.

ACE TRAIN 1: train ride to work

We have moved to Manteca, and I have ridden the train twice to work.  It is really very peaceful.  I took time today to figure out the route.  It is not the same as the freeway.

Going to work, it is dark with the time change.  It doesn't get light until Fremont, but after Fremont, I was awed by watching the sun come up as the train was traveling through bay.  Lots of bird in this part of the Bay.  I saw ducks and gulls, and one egret.  Ducks of all sizes, including the smaller wood duck.

The downfall of the trip to work is the graffiti along some of the fences.  People should not draw and scribble there crap if they can't make it look pretty.  There is a long apartment complex, with a fence facing the train, away from the apartments, which is covered with gross graffiti.

Going home, in addition to the bay, we go through the rolling hills of Northern California.  They are very pretty this time of year.  We are in the middle of our rainy season.  The hills are a beautiful green. I just know that a couple of months from now they will be grey instead of green, but I am enjoying the green hills while they last.
