What's In This Blog

I created this blog for my journal. I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In this blog I keep many of the things I come across as a member of the church. I also share my experiences on the ACE Train and getting to work, my experiences in Manteca where we have lived for three years, and other things I think are noticeable.

closing this week

It looks like everything is a go with our new house.  Closing is the end of this week, and after it posts, we will be able to move in.  We are thinking 3/11 and 3/12 as the move-in date.  We are excited.  We are about half packed.  We have been making lots of DI trips, but you have to take some things.

Tony's fourth birthday

Tony had a happy fourth birthday.  He likes superheros, and most of his presents had this theme, Spider Man, Wolverine, Electro etc.  He now has a new bed spread of Iron Man.  He also got clothes, and a web shooter, which he mostly used with water, outside.  Tony has gotten camera shy, but I did the best I could.  Charity made the Spider Man cake.

Tony, Heather and rabbit

We were with the Normans last week, and got these pictures of Tony with his cousin and their rabbit.

To the Movies: ****^Tangled

Sheri and I took Tony (the other kids had already seen it) with us this week to see Tangled.  I tried to watch it through his eyes.  At times he was greatly enthused.  And at other times he appeared bored.  And then he needed to get candy before the movie was over.

The funnest part was the community dance scene, which seems to be a staple for a Disney.  Tone was dancing along with the characters on the screen.  I think this was his favorite scene.  He also liked some of the action, and he was very concerned when people got hurt, and especially when the lead character died, even if but a moment.

He was less interested in the love story.  But the art was very impressive to him, with the floating lanterns, the sun and the flowers.  This show was fun.

Since the original post, I have watched this movie more times, and like it more each time.  Rapunzel and her fry pan are classic, as is the song on the boat with the lanterns in the sky.
