What's In This Blog

I created this blog for my journal. I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In this blog I keep many of the things I come across as a member of the church. I also share my experiences on the ACE Train and getting to work, my experiences in Manteca where we have lived for three years, and other things I think are noticeable.

Happy Halloween 2017

For my night, I passed out candy while Sheri went with Tony and the Petersens.  Jeremy and Kayla were also here with their boys.  Spud (the cat) kept me company, but he would run away whenever someone came.  Then he would come back.  He even tried eating a Twix bar and rather liked it.  I found I liked them too and tried to push them aside as I passed out candy.  We have one more night of Halloween this Saturday with the Northland Ward Party having been postponed.

Skylar didn't want his picture taken.  He was riding a dinosaur
Bronnie, not riding a horse.  He is a cowboy

Jeremy supplied the pumpkin.  I know at least one family took a picture of their daughter by the rock, and somebody else told me they liked the pumpkin

New Decorations: Halloween 2017

Sheri went simple this year.  We did not put out ghosts or witches, but just pumpkins  The glass psychedelic pumpkin is new, as is the wreath on the door.

Elder Christofferson: Religious Freedom

Elder D. Todd Christofferson introduces the theme of religious freedom.  There was a meeting held in northern California with Elder Ronald A. Rasband talking.  I missed the meeting as had to work, but am looking at this films and will be sharing them.  I understand some of them were shown at the meeting.  The first presentation is entitled Respectfully Stand Up for Your Beliefs.

State Capitol Walk

I had never been around the State Capitol in Sacramento.  These views high light the memorial nature of the grounds around the capitol as well as the building itself.

Northland Ward fall Festival Is Next Saturday

Too many scheduling conflicts and our Fall Festival is next week, after Halloween.  I am excited.  Not sure what I will be doing yet, perhaps manning a trick or treat spot.  It is indoors this year.

Livermore Walk

Took a brief walk through Downtown Livermore while I chased Pokemon.  I was impressed with how many water fountains are in Livermore.
Horse Statue similar to one in San Jose

Very active fountain

Family Pictures 2017

Everyone was out our summer camping trip, so that presents an opportunity for family pictures.  Ty is our official photographer, but these are the snaps I took right after he finished the official picture.  Between these pictures I think I have everyone but Ty.  This is by the Stanislaus River in Calaveras Big Trees.
