Evidences of Draught

Went over the walk bridge at San Joaquin River and Highway 5.  I took a few pictures of the river.  The most telling is the last.  It is amazing how far down the pier is now.  There is 15-20 feet leeway on the poles that anchor the pier, saying that the river could be that much higher.  It is really low, and we have already had two rains this Fall.  It should start rising, but the reservoirs are already so low, most of the moisture does not reach this far down stream.
