After Mark's wedding we stayed at Circus Circus in Reno. It was on the way home for Mark, and it was a good place to watch Elliott, while Liz's family watched the older two boys, so Mark and Liz could have a night to themselves. It was much more economical than South Lake Tahoe.
Upon arriving Saturday, after the wedding, I was too tired to do much, except go to bed. It was cold in our room, and we didn't have the light on long enough to figure out how to turn up the heat, so weren't able to do so until the next day.
Our room was nice, with a view of West Reno and the foothills. We were on the twelfth floor. Circus Circus has a neat shuttle to ride from one tower to the other. Kids rode in the front.
We breakfasted there, which was adequate, but Sheri didn't like the eggs, and the hash browns were not crispy enough for me. They made me an omelet which was very nice. He did make it to the arcade games, which was very much focused on carnival style games. Tony had a good time, and got enough tickets to get a toy, but worth much less than the ten dollars on games. We also caught a show. Waiting for the show, you realized how the place permeated with cigarette smoke. It is above the casino.
I took a picture before the show, and before some large man showed his education by standing by the stage, in front of the bleachers. The only picture I could have gotten during the show would have been of his large sorry butt. Others joined him when they realized it was the only way to see. The show was a dog show, the catcher being tricked by the dogs throughout. The show may have been good for all I know. Some people just lack consideration. I thought the house might move him back, but I guess they approved.
