What's In This Blog

I created this blog for my journal. I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In this blog I keep many of the things I come across as a member of the church. I also share my experiences on the ACE Train and getting to work, my experiences in Manteca where we have lived for three years, and other things I think are noticeable.

Thanksgiving Morning: Pie for Breakfast and Turkey Bowl

We were at the Petersons at 8 a.m. for pie for breakfast.  That is all but our Caleb who wondered in a bit later.  I had the turtle pie, and then apple, and then ventured to the key lime.  I was afraid it might be too sour for me, but found it to be excellent.  I originally took only half a piece, but went back to finish the piece off.
We headed to the park just a few minutes after 10.
You can watch more swinging here.

 A little warm up.

We started with four of us, Jeremy and I vs Caleb and Anthony.  However we were joined by a much bigger group, making ten who participated, including Sheri who took a baby home early.  Tony played both ways, and scored the most touchdowns.  We made it through with no injuries, except for maybe Mom's chest where the ball got her.  Ty stayed at the playground watching babies.

Your's truly taking the picture and Mom had gone home.

Thanksgiving Dinner 2015

We hosted Thanksgiving this year.  We had all of our kids home, which was way cool.  We also had six of eight grand babies, which was also cool.  Mark and Dianna came over with their two daughters who are still at home.  Sheri made an incredible turkey.  Caleb carved.  I smashed the potatoes.  There were also yams, and carrots, and gravy and stuffing (Stove Top), and rainbow Jell-O and any number of treats.  There were also an overabundance of pies, and we still have pie in the fridge.
two tables to hold us all.  We had 17 adults and 7 children.

Hayley Dawn's Blessing Day

With Camberly
Hayley Dawn was blessed today in Turlock.  I realized I took no pictures of Hayley with her parents.   We sang as a combined Hall, Wardle family, "I Need Thee Every Hour."  It was fun.

Mormon Movie Review: ***^Sons of Provo (2004)

This is a movie made in documentary style, home video style.  This follows three men who are involved in a Mormon Boy Band.  They call themselves EverClean.  It gives us an idea of what it would be like to be in a band, trying to maintain the squeaky clean image.  They eventually have some success, but they still have some growing to do.  Can the brothers who formed the band, let go enough to let someone else share his music?  If they don't the band will likely fall apart due to jealousy.  Sometimes growth hurts.

Days of Christmas 2015: Temple Hill in Oakland

Look what starts today and continues through the end of the month!  I have always loved the events at Temple Hill and they have an excellent line up this year.  Click on the view of the pamphlet at the Temple Hill Website to see what is happening.  Some events require tickets, but all are free and most do not require tickets.
