What's In This Blog

I created this blog for my journal. I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In this blog I keep many of the things I come across as a member of the church. I also share my experiences on the ACE Train and getting to work, my experiences in Manteca where we have lived for three years, and other things I think are noticeable.

Welcome to Omaha/Bellevue: N.P. Dodge Memorial Park Omaha

NP Dodge Memorial Park is so named as a memorial to Nathan Phillips Dodge who established the NP Dodge Company in Iowa and Nebraska.  The family donated the land for the park to Omaha City in 1930 as a memorial.  N.P. Dodge is the brother of Grenville Dodge who was also part of the company and a railroad land baron.

The River Front Trail runs through the park.  There is a marina and boating, softball diamonds, tennis courts, a camping area, fields for soccer, a restroom area, horseshoe pit, fishing, covered picnic area, open space, and a Lewis and Clark Monument.
