Arriving early for a training at the Learning Center, DTMHC office) I took a short thought the neighborhood. I usual just stay on Santa Clara, so this was a pleasant change. I discovered that East San Antonio has a bridge over the Guadalupe River with mosaics much like the bridge on Santa Clara. In addition to the mosaics there was an interesting old church and a unique yard ornament.

The Alameda Murals
With my new work location sometimes I walk the Alameda to get to the train station. This sends me past Recycle Books which is a fun place to stop. I am becoming more familiar with The Alameda. I have observed a couple murals of note and enjoy the stores. Unfortunately Schurra's Chocolates has closed.

Alpine Loop Ride
Charlie took us for a ride around the Alpine Loop. We started by driving to the view point of Squaw Peak. From there you can look down and see most of Provo. We could see the Provo Temple, and Timpanogos Temple. We could also see parts of BYU. Going around the loop we saw Bridal Veil Falls (not pictured), Sundance Ski Resort, Robert Redford's estate, lots of aspens, went past Timpanogas Cave and the National Monument, and American Fork Canyon.

Idaho Falls with Jeremy, Kayla and the Boys
Heading to Utah for heather’s wedding we decided to stop by Idaho and see the boys. Jeremy moved to Idaho after the family camp out as Kayla needs some on campus time at BYU Idaho. We were very happy to see the boys and Kayla and Jeremy. We went to the zoo in Idaho falls. It was fun to be with the boys as they are getting so big, and are learning so many things about the world. They told many stories about the animals. We saw monkeys, alligator, birds, lions, tigers, zebra, camels, red koalas, and many more animals. They actually have a penguin exhibit. We also saw Shanna Merrill (not her married name) who happened to also be at the zoo with family. We left time to visit the Funland Park next door to the zoo and the kids rode a couple rides. We then enjoyed Panda and Asher sat on my lap. Man can that boy eat the orange chicken. I had to cut the large pieces for him.
