I was being negative about the idea, but the camp Olympics were really pretty fun. Miranda had devised several games where we could compete with young and old alike. This included airplane throwing, throw the ring on the peg and Frisbee throw for accuracy. Then we had a relay race and ended the first session with a water over the shoulder relay. Not a lot of pictures as I was competing.
After a break we came back for beach towel volley ball. this is where you try to catch a water balloon in a towel with your partner, and then try to throw it back of the net. In this case it is well to have people about the same age. I was with Skylar and just pulled the towel out of his hands.

July 4 2018
A relatively lazy day, but it did include swimming at the Normans, and fireworks. We swam with a frog at the Normans. I had difficulty getting in for cold water. They also did barbecue for us. We were showered with sparklers by someone on a skate board as we waited in the Costco parking lot, until we told him enough. I don't think it was a very good place. Jeremy supplied some sparklers and other fireworks. As always it was a mess getting out.

Primary Program: Tony's Talk
I thought I wold share Tony's talk as he is preparing for the Primary Program in a couple weeks> He gives a sweet testimony of prayer and Joseph Smith:
When Joseph Smith was 14 years old, he decided to pray to God and ask which church was correct. This was the first time he attempted to pray vocally. As he began to pray an evil spirit fell upon him and bound his tongue. Just as he was ready to give himself up for lost, Joseph Smith says,
“I saw a pillar of light exactly over my head, above the brightness of the sun, which descended gradually until it fell upon me.
It no sooner appeared than I found myself delivered from the enemy which held me bound. When the light rested upon me I saw two Personages, whose brightness and glory defy all description, standing above me in the air. One of them spake unto me, calling me by name and said, pointing to the other—This is My Beloved Son. Hear Him!”
His desire to know which church to join was answered with “None of them.”
I believe this is a true story. From this story we learn that God answers prayers, Heavenly Father and Jesus are two distinct persons, and God knows us individually. I believe we can pray when we have hard choices to make, and God will help us.
In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
